This is huge news for anyone in the US who didn’t want to pay for a subscription to the Euro model over the past few years, as it had disappeared from most places where there was previously free access.
The ECMWF routinely outperforms the US National Weather Service GFS model in precipitation and extreme weather. Using the interface on Pivotal Weather has a little bit of a learning curve, but if you play around you’ll probably get the hang of it, and you’ll be better prepared for the weather in the days and weeks to come.
